March 7, 2010

Located at: Angel Stadium of Anaheim

For the 2010 DUB Show Tour L.A. stop, we switched things up a bit. While we usually have it at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Downtown L.A., we decided to take all the fun to Orange County and held the show at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim on Sunday, March 7, 2010. While the weather in L.A. wasn’t its usual best, having rained days prior, it still didn’t stop us from putting on one Hell of a show or more than 28,000 people from showing up! People lined up to buy tickets three hours before the show, which we’ve never seen before. It turned out to be perfect the day of the show, with only one quick rain shower.

From start to finish, this definitely was one crazy show. There were more than 1,100 show cars and over 100 vendors on site, which means we used up close to one-million square-feet of space! In all our years of putting on the Tour, we’ve never seen a show that big or with that many people before. We’re glad to see that the culture is still going on strong and growing even more each year.

There was so much happening that it was overwhelming to try and check it all out! Nelly’s DUB Edition Ford 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 was on display with everyone talking about its widebody-good looks. No one could believe that the DUB Edition Ford Taurus SHO was as impressive in person as it is on the DUB Tour Show site! The Famous Stars and Straps riders were in action that Sunday, as fans got a chance to see J-Beats, Warren Jamez and the rest of the famous crew doing the sickest tricks and stunts on their bikes. The Monster Energy Zone was the place to be if you wanted to see beautiful women and get free samples of their numerous beverage types, as well as witness some insane B-Boy and MC battles, while listening to some great tunes. Monster’s second stage also featured dope DJs and acts that really got the crowd pumped.

Pirelli showcased their new styles of tires and their beautiful Pirelli Girls, which were on hand for autographs. Asanti and Lexani also displayed their latest wheel styles for those in the market or just browsing. Giovanna’s booth also had both beautiful wheels and models in it, while Mobil 1’s Performance Zone showed guests why it’s the “World’s leading synthetic motor oil.” Axis wheels had their 2010 line of wheels, including their hottest wheel with fitment for the brand new Chevrolet Camaro SS. Imzz Industries was also on hand, showing off their latest and greatest projects as an all-around customizing shop. The Tribute to Lowriding was a huge fan favorite, with many scoping out the unique and highly customized Lowriders. The gaming booths were also a big hit, with both the Xbox 360 Arcade and 2K Sports’ booth jam-packed throughout the day.

We can’t forget about our celebrity appearances and performances either, which were more than bangin’! Snopp Dogg’s beautiful wife, Shante “Boss Lady” Broadus, of Boss Lady Entertainment was in the house, debuting her 2008 Limited Edition HEMI Dodge Challenger & 1985 SS Monte Carlo, as well as signing autographs for fans. Snoop’s 1967 Pontiac Parisienne, aka Snoop's Lakers ride, and his 1967 Fleetwood Cadillac 'Snoopdeville' were also at the show. Power 106’s morning crew showed up for a bit, with Big Boy, Liz Hernandez, Tattoo, Fuzzy and E-Man hosting things. In terms of performances, it was one of the best concert stages ever! Awesome acts included Jay Rock, U-N-I, Nola Darling, California, Glasses, Nipsey Hussle, Iyaz, B.O.B, J. Cole, New Boyz and Game closed out the show with a bang!

All-in-all, the 2010 L.A stopped more than lived up to its past ones and we would like to thank all the fans for their tremendous support. A big shout out to all our sponsors for making it such an unforgettable event! Thanks to Monster Energy, Ford, Pirelli Tires, XBox 360, Wheel Pros, TIS Wheels, Dropstars Wheels, Metro PCS, Mobil 1 and 2K Sports NBA 2K10.
